Well, for starters ... the PT bit are my initials, which stand for Paul Terry. Next obvious question ... "Well who is Paul Terry"? Glad you asked! I am a 67 year old who has been told that I look anywhere from mid 40's to mid 50's. Probably a good thing, because I don't 'feel' 67 ... and I'm not about to start acting like it!! I served 15 years as a children's/youth pastor in my younger days, working with both teens and small children. To this day, I still tend to feed off the energy that young people bring to the table. I have 3 children of my own, albeit all grown up now, and in their early to mid 30's ... a daughter and 2 sons ... Paul, Peter, and Mary. Not be confused with that folk group from the 60's!
I was licenced and ordained into the ministry in 1985, and started out doing evangelism. Since I am self taught on guitar, I would sing a song or two, then preach the Word. In 2009 / 2010 I began to strictly focus on the music and ultimately began doing the work of an itinerant worship leader, playing for fellowships that did not have a praise team, or maybe they had one but needed some time off, etc.. I did that up until November of 2024, and decided it was time to try my hand at podcasting. I now currently lead worship for 3 homeless outreach ministries, and will play at various church sponsored events, minus leading worship as an itinerant worship leader. You can see and hear what I do by going to Facebook and catch the livestream services of Beautiful Feet Ministries and Bibles & Bread Ministries, both on Thursdays.
On a personal note ... I enjoy watching sports such as american football (esp college), bowling, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and maybe 1 or 2 others that I can't think of at the moment (lol). I swim for exercise, play lots of music. I can play guitar, any percussion rhythm instrument (drums etc), bass, tin whistle, dabble with keyboard,
and I have played as a teen, the saxaphone ... not my fav though. I so love being with family and friends, my church family, and in general just getting out & about ... mostly because I'm claustrophobic. But even when I don't feel closed in, I like getting out anyway. I like fishing and camping type stuff. But mostly, I enjoy singing, preaching/teaching the Word, and living for Jesus!
